Banned outright

Using ProxyPanda for any of the following will get the account closed, and we will act on a single credible report. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive — something that does the same kind of harm is banned even if it isn’t named here.

  • Credential stuffing and account takeover — testing stolen username and password pairs against anybody’s login.
  • Carding and payment fraud — testing stolen card numbers, referral-programme abuse, fake-account farms, trademark bidding in ad auctions, pyramid or multi-level-marketing schemes, or any other transaction fraud.
  • Spam — bulk unsolicited email, SMS, comments, forms or registrations.
  • Child sexual abuse material — accessing, distributing or hosting it. Reported to the authorities, always.
  • Harassment and stalking — targeting an individual, including scraping to build a profile of a private person.
  • Attacks on infrastructure — DDoS, brute force, port scanning, vulnerability exploitation against systems you do not own.
  • Malware — distributing it, or operating command and control through our network.
  • Circumventing paywalls to redistribute — reading is one thing, republishing someone’s paid content is another.

Fine by us

Most of what people actually want proxies for is legitimate, and we would rather say so explicitly than leave you guessing:

  • Scraping publicly accessible data
  • Price monitoring, rank tracking and SEO tooling
  • Ad verification and brand protection
  • Market and academic research
  • Testing your own applications and infrastructure
  • Checking how your site or ads appear in another country
  • Reaching geo-blocked content for your own use
  • Sneaker, ticket and release bots, where the platform’s own rules allow it

Your responsibility

You are responsible for complying with the law where you are and where the target is, and with the terms of the sites you access. We do not police robots.txt for you and we do not read your traffic — but “ProxyPanda let me” is not a defence, and we will not offer it as one.

Be sensible about volume. Hammering a small site until it falls over is both rude and, depending on where you are, potentially criminal.

How we handle reports

  1. A report arrives at [email protected], usually from a site owner or a hosting provider.
  2. We match it against our usage metadata — destination hostname, timestamp, exit IP. We do not have request contents, so this is what we can check.
  3. For anything in the banned list, we suspend immediately and tell you what the report said.
  4. For everything else, we contact you first and give you the chance to explain or stop.
  5. We reply to the reporter with what we did. Site owners who get a straight answer tend not to block whole proxy pools out of frustration.

If we get it wrong

Appeal in Discord or by email. If we suspended you in error you get the account back, the balance intact, and an apology from a person.

If we were right, you still get your whole unused balance back, however long ago you topped it up, paid to where it came from, unless that balance was itself paid for fraudulently. We are not in the business of keeping money we did not earn, even from people we would rather not have as customers.

Reporting abuse to us

If traffic from our network is causing you a problem, email [email protected] with the IP, timestamps and a sample of what you saw. We answer abuse reports from real people, quickly, and we do not make you fill in a form first.

Something here unclear?

Ask in Discord and we will explain it in plain English. If the wording is confusing, we will rewrite it.
