Why people want an IP in United Kingdom

Since leaving the EU, the UK is its own market for pricing and consumer rules, and retailers usually treat it that way. Amazon.co.uk, Argos and Tesco show prices in pounds with VAT included, and a visitor from outside the UK can be steered to a different domain or shown different delivery options.

Google.co.uk ranks results for British users, and UK ad campaigns are often fenced to the country. If you track rankings or review creatives for a UK audience, the check has to come from a UK address to mean anything.

Supermarket and department-store sites that screen for bots tend to be friendlier to ISP IPs. Rank tracking and bulk page fetches across many UK sites are where datacenter IPs keep the cost down.

About Datacenter

The order form in the dashboard lists the countries in stock right now, so you know before you pay.

Residential has no country choice. It rotates across the whole pool, so use it where the exit country does not matter.

Practical tips

  • Use en-GB as the browser language. Some UK sites read it alongside the IP to decide which store to show.
  • Grocery delivery slots and similar local pages may ask for a postcode on top of the UK address. The IP gets you the UK site; the postcode picks the area.
  • When you compare a UK page with another country, give each country its own IP so the two sets of results never mix.

Questions about United Kingdom

Is a UK address treated as an EU one?

No. Sites and ad platforms treat the United Kingdom as its own country, and so does the order form. Pick the UK directly if that is the market you are checking.

Can I see prices for one part of the UK?

Some sites price by postcode and ignore the IP for that step. Where the order form offers a region or city for UK stock you can narrow the address, but a postcode prompt on the site still decides the local price.
