What gets in the way

Shops show different prices, currencies and stock depending on the country a visitor appears to come from. A tracker running from your laptop sees your own market, which is no help if you sell somewhere else.

Repeat visits add a second problem. A shop that sees the same pages requested on a timer from a server range may start serving stale or empty results, and your chart quietly goes flat. Often nobody notices until the data is needed.

ISP proxies

ISP IPs are registered to consumer internet providers, and you pick the country, region and city when you order. The address stays yours for the term, so each check comes from the same place and the numbers stay comparable over time. Shops that are wary of data centre traffic tend to treat a consumer registration like an ordinary shopper.

Datacenter proxies

Marketplaces and comparison sites that do not mind server traffic can be tracked from datacenter IPs, with the same country, region and city choice for less. Run both on a handful of products for a few days and keep whichever returns clean pages.

Residential has no country selection, because the pool picks the exit IP. When a job depends on location, the ISP and datacenter lines let you choose country, region and city.

How to start

  1. Pick the markets you sell in

Order one IP for each country you want to watch. You can add more later, and balance you do not spend never expires.

  2. Schedule the checks

Point your tracker at the host and port from the service page in the dashboard. Space the checks out, since most prices do not change by the minute.

  3. Spot-check before you trust it

For the first few days, compare a handful of results with what a normal browser shows. If they disagree, the shop may be treating your traffic differently, and switching line costs less than bad data.

There is no shared gateway address to copy from this site. Each service shows its own host, port, username and password on its page in the dashboard.

Using it responsibly

Price monitoring is on our acceptable-use list, and it covers prices and stock that any visitor can see. Fake-account farms to reach member-only prices are banned outright. Keep the schedule modest: a shop that slows down for real customers because of a tracker will notice, and its owner may send a report to us.

Questions

Can I track prices in more than one country?

Yes. Each ISP or datacenter IP is tied to the location you choose at order time, so buy one IP for each country you want to watch.

What does keeping an IP longer cost?

You rent each IP for a term you choose, and longer terms cost less per day. A renewal is charged at the line’s entry rate, not the volume rate your first order reached. The pricing page shows both.

Why not residential for price tracking?

Residential rotates and has no country selection, so two checks of the same page can come from different places. Price history needs the same location every time, which is what a static IP gives you.

Is a shared IP enough?

The shared plan puts a small number of customers on one IP, which is fine for light checking. If your results depend on the IP’s history with the shop, the dedicated plan keeps it to you alone.
