Before you start

  • The AdsPower client installed and signed in.
  • Your details from the service page in the dashboard: HOST, PORT, USERNAME and PASSWORD, or the one-line export.
  • One IP set aside for each account a profile will hold.

Your connection details

Sign in to the dashboard and open the service you bought. Its page shows the host, port, username and password for that service. There is no single ProxyPanda address to remember, so copy them from there each time. The code in these guides uses the placeholders below; replace each one with your own value.

HOST
The proxy address for this service, exactly as the service page shows it.
PORT
The port to connect to. Copy it with the host, since it can differ from one service to the next.
USERNAME
Your proxy login. It is separate from the email you use for the dashboard.
PASSWORD
Copy it in full. On residential, the options you choose in the dashboard are added to the end of the password, so a password typed from memory loses them.

You can skip the username and password by adding the IP address you connect from to the service’s allowlist. Then only HOST and PORT go into your code.

The examples use HTTP, which reaches https sites through an encrypted tunnel. SOCKS5 works too: residential ports accept both, and ISP and datacenter proxies switch protocol in the dashboard.

Steps

  1. Start a profile and open its Proxy section

Click New Profile in the upper left corner of the client. The form has five parts: General, Proxy, Platform, Fingerprint and Advanced. In Proxy, click Custom so you can enter your own details instead of picking a saved one.

  2. Choose HTTP and paste into Host:Port

Set Proxy type to HTTP. Paste the whole proxy as one line into the Host:Port field: AdsPower reads the HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD order and moves the login into Proxy username and Proxy password by itself. The residential page in the dashboard can export a list in that order; for ISP and datacenter, join each listed IP’s values the same way. Typing HOST:PORT into the field and filling the two login fields by hand works too.

New Profile › Proxy › Custom
    代理类型 Proxy type: HTTP
    代理主机 Host:Port: HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD
  3. Press Check Proxy

“Connection test passed” means AdsPower reached the proxy with your login. “Connection test failed” means it could not, so fix that before saving. The location it reports comes from an IP checker; the default is fine, and you can switch to another checker when the region looks wrong.

  4. Leave time zone, location and language on Based on IP

In the Fingerprint part, Timezone, Location and Language all default to Based on IP, which reads the proxy’s country and sets the three to match. Keep those defaults. Editing them by hand is how a profile ends up with a clock that disagrees with its address. Click OK to save.

  5. Open the profile and load api.ipify.org

Find the new profile on the Profiles page and click Open. In its first tab, go to https://api.ipify.org. That address is what each site records for this profile. If it shows your home connection instead, see the errors below.

Rotating and sticky IPs

Treat each AdsPower profile as one device on one line. For an account you keep for months, rent an ISP IP and give it to that profile alone: it stays the same for the whole term and belongs to a consumer network.

AdsPower’s Proxies section stores proxies for reuse, and a blue loop button can hand a saved proxy to a profile at random. Random assignment undoes the one-IP-per-account plan, so choose the proxy for each profile yourself.

On residential, choose Sticky IP in the dashboard before you copy the password, since the session option travels at the end of it. With Randomize IP, a profile changes address on every request, which suits scraping and breaks sign-ins.

The dashboard can also allowlist the IP you connect from, after which HOST and PORT alone are accepted. AdsPower handles a username and password without trouble, and a login keeps working when your home address changes, so there is little reason to switch.

Common errors and fixes

Check Proxy says “Connection test failed”

AdsPower could not open a connection with the details given. Confirm the type is HTTP, then paste the line again: a stray space or a password missing its last character is the usual cause. If it still fails, AdsPower suggests testing from another network to tell a local block from a proxy fault.

“Proxy failure” when a profile opens

The proxy passed its check but is unreachable at launch. A VPN or system-wide proxy on your computer is the first suspect; switch it off and restart. On Windows, AdsPower also names leftover HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY environment variables as a cause, and they should be deleted.

api.ipify.org shows your home IP

A VPN or proxy extension inside the profile is overriding the profile’s proxy. Remove it from the profile’s extensions and open the profile again. If settings linger after removal, AdsPower’s help centre describes clearing that profile’s Preferences files.

The country is not the one you expected

IP checkers use different location databases and sometimes disagree, so try another checker in the proxy settings. On residential the country is not chosen: you get whatever address the pool assigns. If a profile needs a fixed country, use an ISP or datacenter IP with country targeting.

Which line to pick

For accounts kept in AdsPower over weeks or months, an ISP IP per profile is the natural match. Residential with Sticky IP covers short tasks where the next session can start from another address. Datacenter is the low-cost choice for dashboards and internal tools that do not judge where you connect from.

Keeping many accounts apart in AdsPower is fine. Profiles used for fraud, spam or trying stolen logins are not, and that closes the account. Where we draw the line
