Hubstudio proxy setup: custom HTTP proxy
Hubstudio is a fingerprint browser built for Chinese teams selling abroad. Each environment gets its own fingerprint and proxy, and Hubstudio sells no proxies itself. Its help centre is in Chinese, so the steps quote the Chinese labels with a translation. The English client may word them differently.
Before you start
- The Hubstudio client for Windows or Mac, installed and signed in.
- HOST, PORT, USERNAME and PASSWORD from the service page in the dashboard.
- A local connection that reaches overseas addresses reliably. Hubstudio’s help warns that proxy checks tend to fail when it does not.
- One IP for each account you plan to run.
Your connection details
Sign in to the dashboard and open the service you bought. Its page shows the host, port, username and password for that service. There is no single ProxyPanda address to remember, so copy them from there each time. The code in these guides uses the placeholders below; replace each one with your own value.
- HOST
- The proxy address for this service, exactly as the service page shows it.
- PORT
- The port to connect to. Copy it with the host, since it can differ from one service to the next.
- USERNAME
- Your proxy login. It is separate from the email you use for the dashboard.
- PASSWORD
- Copy it in full. On residential, the options you choose in the dashboard are added to the end of the password, so a password typed from memory loses them.
You can skip the username and password by adding the IP address you connect from to the service’s allowlist. Then only HOST and PORT go into your code.
The examples use HTTP, which reaches https sites through an encrypted tunnel. SOCKS5 works too: residential ports accept both, and ISP and datacenter proxies switch protocol in the dashboard.
Steps
Open 新建环境 (New environment)
Go to 环境 (Environments), then 我的环境 (My environments), then 新建环境. The environment name is required. For the browser, choose ChroBrowser, built on Chrome, or FireBrowser, built on Firefox, then pick an operating system. A group is optional.
Method 自定义, type http
In 代理设置 (proxy settings), 代理方式 offers 自定义 (custom) and API提取 (API extraction). A ProxyPanda proxy has fixed details with a login, so choose 自定义. Set 代理类型 to http and fill in 代理主机, 代理端口, 代理账号 and 代理密码: host, port, username and password.
代理协议 decides which exit an environment uses when a proxy has both IPv4 and IPv6: the default 速度优先 (speed first) takes whichever answers faster, while IPv4 or IPv6 pins it to one. IP变更提醒 (IP change reminder) warns you whenever the environment’s exit IP changes. Switch it on for any environment that holds an account.
Click 检测代理 (check proxy)
Carry on only once the check passes. When it fails, Hubstudio’s help starts with two questions: has the proxy expired, and is every field filled in? ISP and datacenter IPs are rented for a term and stop answering after it ends; on residential, make sure the balance is topped up.
Let language, time zone and location follow the IP
Under 高级设置 (advanced settings), Hubstudio generates the language and time zone from the IP, and location can be generated from it too. Its help recommends keeping those defaults, because a fingerprint the system matches to the IP is the safer one. Click 完成 (done) to create the environment.
Open the environment and visit api.ipify.org
Click 打开 (open) in the environment list. Hubstudio first shows its own check page with the IP and whether major social sites load. Open a new tab and load https://api.ipify.org: the two IPs should agree, and that address is what sites record.
Rotating and sticky IPs
Hubstudio’s own notes on proxy IPs recommend one IP per environment, and each account managed in one environment only, for platforms that care about IP stability. For accounts you keep, rent an ISP IP: it stays fixed for the term and is registered to a home broadband provider.
Proxies saved on the proxy page can be bound to several environments. Editing a saved proxy changes every environment bound to it at once, so when an account needs a new IP, add a new proxy and rebind that one environment.
Residential defaults to Randomize IP, a new address per request. For a short task in one environment, choose Sticky IP in the dashboard first and then copy the password, which carries the session choice. IP变更提醒 will also tell you when a sticky session has moved on.
The dashboard offers an IP allowlist too, after which host and port alone connect. Hubstudio’s custom method accepts either kind of proxy, and a username and password keeps working when your own address changes.
Common errors and fixes
检测代理 fails (proxy check failed)
Confirm the type is http, then compare host, port, username and password with the service page, with no spaces around them. Then check the proxy is still in its term: an ISP or datacenter IP past its rental period will not connect until it is renewed in the dashboard.
The check passes one minute and fails the next
Hubstudio’s notes admit a check can fail now and then. Once the details and the term are confirmed, run it again. If it keeps failing, compare from another network to rule out your local connection, then bring the IP and the time to Discord.
Unsure whether the proxy or the environment is at fault
Hubstudio suggests testing the same proxy in an ordinary browser outside the app. If it fails there as well, the details or your network are the problem. If it works there and not in the environment, look at the environment’s settings.
IP变更提醒 pops up
The environment’s exit IP has changed. On residential under Randomize IP that happens per request, so switch to Sticky IP and copy the password again. ISP and datacenter IPs do not change, so on those lines check the environment is still bound to the proxy you meant.
Which line to pick
For cross-border shops and accounts in Hubstudio, one ISP IP per environment is the most dependable setup. Residential with Sticky IP suits short tasks where tomorrow’s address can differ. Datacenter is the low-cost choice for back offices and tools that do not care where you connect from.
Running several store or social accounts side by side in Hubstudio is fine. Environments used for fraud, spam or trying leaked credentials are not, and the account is closed for it. Where we draw the line
